I am 47 years old and have taught yoga on and off throughout the years. I learnt to teach in India completing a 200 hour Yoga Alliance course with RYS in 2008, I've since also attended the following courses throughout the years:
Spinal Logic Course, Brighton.
Anatomy and Physiology course in Brighton - Itec, Level 3.
Thai Yoga Massage Course, Brighton - I didn't take the exam but I completed the course.
Children Do Yoga Course, Brighton - https://www.childrendoyoga.co.uk
Anatomy Applied To Yoga, Bristol - www.doctor-yogi.com
Reiki - Level 1 and 2 - A point of interest.
I’m happy to try any sport but my preference at this time is playing squash, running and yoga. I’ve completed the London to Brighton Bike ride three times and ran a half marathon. Full marathons are a whole different beast, hats off to those who conquer them !
Yoga is my secret weapon in the world of sports. It's not just about the zen, it's about staying injury and pain free. Did you know women are more prone to knee injuries in sports?
I like to eat and drink as much as the next person. My aim is for balance, not perfection. Yoga has taught me to celebrate what my body can achieve, rather than obsessing over how it looks. And as the years go by, I've come to appreciate this even more.
